Name a runner that is more stylish than Kim Rodrigues? You can’t. From the nails to the outfits to the bandana tied so delicately around her ankle, she is the personification of a badass with a heart of gold. I remember when I first met her and looked at her abs, then she said something about being a grandmother and I just hung my head in shame. I didn’t even feel worth of being around such greatness. Kim gave me hope for my future in running.

apa paraphrasing citation
1. Tell us about your diet:
I don’t have one. To tell you the truth I have the worst eating habits. Some days I’ll eat healthy. Other days I will go a day without eating, but before I go to bed I’ll have anything from ice cream, cookies (Oreos), an entire bag of mini snicker bars or a bag of Air Heads Bites. And these snacks would be consumed after midnight.
2. What does ego mean to you:
Had to give this question some thought. Having an ego means to me that an individual just thinks too highly of themselves in every shape and form. When you believe yourself to be better than others, that to me is showing some sort of insecurity to make you feel that you need compare yourself to others and to believe you come out on top. No one is better than the next person. We all have faults.
3. What is your definition of success?
Some may say success comes with “money”. My definition of success would be just holding on to those people who mean the most to you. Who have been in your corner through the storm and have never left your side. These are the people you never let go and make memories with.
4. What skills are younger generations lacking?
The younger generation, I believe, is lacking social skills. Communication is purely done on social media. No one has sit down or face to face conversations anymore. Your phones are always nearby to take a peek.
5. What odds were defeated in your lifetime?
Hmm! I have to say I have beaten the odds of surviving in a world which at times can be a very dark place for me. But, there are days where I’m still trying to figure out my purpose.
6. What is success?
Running and strength training is how I take care of body. But the most important thing of all, is not allowing stress in my life. I believe a healthy mind is key. At least for me.
