The new series will bring an inspiring series of panels, hands-on workshops, immersive art installations, experiences, and performances. The Pioneer Works space is designed to build community through the arts and sciences to create an open and inspired world. Submerse yourself in a provocative conversation on the intersection of technology, art, and music with curated technology-enhanced interactive installations, panels, workshops and a performance by a very special guest.
The CONVERGE event by Outpost will be held at Pioneer Works in Red Hook, Brooklyn – an artist-run cultural center imagined by its founder, artist Dustin Yellin, as a place in which artists, scientists, and thinkers from various backgrounds intersect.
Dustin Yellin will have art display, along with interactive light and sound installations from:
– Jen Lewin – Chandelier Harp which invites guests to reimagine the harp as playable beams of light and and Aqueous, series of interactive light squares;
– Envelop Spatial Sound Environment, created by Ghostly International artist Christopher Willits;
– Marpi Studio’s Interactive Projections;
– VR demonstrations with Brooklyn’s VR Bar
Panels and discussions will focus on the future design topics:
– The Future of Transportation, hosted by Mike Spinelli, The Drive
– The Technology of Racing, with Hanah Elliot, Bloomberg Pursuits
– Designing to the Moon and Back, hosted by Chuck Tannert, Fast Company
Beyond Meat will also be doing a cooking workshop.
